David & Hanh * Engagement

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

When Hanh first contacted me about doing an engagement session with them, I had no idea that they were ‘older’.  When she sent me a picture of her and her fiance to me, my first reaction was ‘OMG I have to take pictures for grown ups!’  I have no idea why I reacted that way.  I mean, they are not even that much older than me, maybe only by a decade.   It turned out that they are a really fun couple! They said that they don’t know how to act natural in front of the camera, but I think they lied to me. :) They were totally having fun while I was shooting away! Here’s a few of my favorite shots from the session.

Natalie & Nick * Engagement

This past weekend I had the privilege to shoot another engagement session - this time for my good friends Nick and Natalie.  I really enjoyed this session! My hubby totally helped me out as my personal assistant, and we had a lot of fun hanging out and well, telling them what to do. hahaha…dude, I didn’t know photography is a work out.  I was all sweating the whole entire time - and I don’t ever sweat, not even when I run (maybe that’s because I never run).

Here are some of my favorite of the session: (p.s. if you have a mac please view the pictures in safari for the best result)

first thing first: God

I thought this shot would be a good representation of who they are in Christ.  KJV - Nick’s favorite version (actually it’s NKJV is his favorite version, but they couldn’t find one on the bookshelf - and Nick forgot to bring his to the engagement shoot.  We always joke around that NKJV stands for Nick’s kill joy version)! .

They are both intellectuals so they wanted to take some shots in front of the bookcase. :)

The chinese character on the right is ‘love’.

I love these two (the one above and the one below) !!  Aren’t they photogenic? I’m so jealous.

Like what Nick and Natalie would say - WAHOO!

Then and Now

oh how the years weeks go by…

and now:

he’s growing up too fast!

on a sad note, bun buns hasn’t been doing well the past week (since we came back from youth retreat).  She’s been losing her balance and she couldn’t really take a hop without falling over. :(  Now I’m back to the routine of  hand feeding her food.  She’s a smart girl though. To keep herself from rolling all over the room uncontrollably, she spends most of her time in the area behind our TV…and it has become quite a stinky area of our condo.

poor baby! Get better soon!!
