Welcome to the family…

my dear 24mm tilt shift lens! :)

Ever since I’ve played with Bobby Earle’s tilt shift lens, I’ve been wanting to get one.  Coming into year 2010, I’ve decided that I should at least get one new lens for this year.  I was actually debating between getting a 50 f/1.2L and a 24mm tilt shift lens.  Since we’ve already have a 24mm L, the 24mm tilt shift seems unnecessary.  Getting the 50 f/1.2 is more practical. However, I just love experimenting with different composition possibilities with a tilt shift lens.  I love how it produces dreamy pictures. :) Hopefully somewhere down the line I’ll have enough fund to purchase a 50 f/1.2L…then my collection will be complete. ha!

Here are some test shots that I took on this glorious morning.

Our front door looks so much nicer through the tilt shift lens. :)

I can’t wait to bring it to Hong Kong with me in February! I will be going there with my sister and my cousin.  I can’t imagine the type of pictures I can get with this new baby!
