Jess and Vince are our dear friends from the previous church that we attended (Kairos Church) and we were so happy that we could photograph their wedding!  A lot of people have asked me if I would prefer attending a friend’s wedding as a guest instead. I can honestly say that while I do love attending wedding as a guest without the pressure of work, I also enjoy being the photographer for my friend just the same – if not more. Being their wedding photographers means that we get to be a part of their entourage and get the front seat of all the actions!

Let me introduce you to the lovely Faulknors!

Brett and Emily are awesome wedding photographers that we regularly hang out with! They are fun, love Jesus, stylish and are always generous in sharing their insights with us! If its wasn’t because of their encouragement, Daniel wouldn’t have quit his job and joined me at Orange Turtle Photography full time. So needless to say we were so happy to shoot some family portraits for them.  They are super fabulous in front of the camera! :) We had a blast!

We took a few pictures of just Emily and Brett as well.

I absolutely love this last one. It’s as though their son, North, is saying, “what the heck are they doing?”

What was impressive about their reception was that most of the items were completely DIY! Both Edward and Stacey are very artistic themselves and they have been planning, designing, collecting items and building things for awhile in preparation for their reception. Every detail I saw at the reception had a personal touch to it.  Edward himself built all the mason jar chandeliers that were hung on the tents!  How cool is that?

Till this day I still dream about this nacho cheese fountain. yummmmm…

I love these moments from their first dance.

Stacey & Edward – it was such a huge blessing to be your photographers.  You two exude so much joy to those around you and we were definitely inspired by you!  Congrats again!

I miss her so much.

Heather and Tony are one of the cutest couples we know! They celebrated their love at this beautiful venue, Paradise Gardens (at Oceanside).  As soon as we stepped into the venue’s ground, I felt like we were transported to a tropical paradise! We are very grateful that we could be there and took pretty pictures of their wedding!

This wall has one of my favorite bible verses on it. And this verse is also printed on Taeree and Steve’s guests place cards (as you will see below)!

They have the most creative idea for the place cards!! :) Since they have a ‘book’ theme going on throughout the reception, The place cards are old school library check out cards.
