Behind the scene, sort of.

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Some people had asked me in the past how much shooting Daniel actually does since I do most of the blogging.  Well, Daniel actually shoot quite a bit and he’s really good at it! :)  We use different lenses so when I’m shooting wide, he shoots tight.  When he’s shooting tight, I shoot wide and that’s how we capture the same moment from two unique perspectives.

Here’s a shot that I took of Daniel working hard on Elsa and Dan. :)

Here’s the shot he got from the above set up. :)

Then he asked Elsa to turn her face toward Dan and got the following shot.

at the same moment I got this:

As I set them up and took this shot,

Daniel got this.

so there you go! :) Hopefully this post gives everyone a better sense of how we work together. :)

And lastly - here’s soda #4

soda - keylime-001.jpg

Another favorite! haha.  The color of the soda is actually bright green but you can’t tell unless you pour it out! I would prefer leaving the bright green liquid inside the glass though.  The taste was great but it’s just a little weird to see myself drinking bright green liquid that looks like something from a chemistry lab.

Elsa & Daniel * engagement

Elsa and Daniel are one awesome couple! They have such great chemistry that I’m sure you can totally tell from the engagement session. Elsa and my hubby Daniel are actually related - they both have mutual cousins. Daniel and I don’t really remember meeting her from before but we are so glad that we finally met! :) She and her fiance (also named Daniel) are so much fun to hang out with. They were laughing so much through the entire session they really made our job easy. I was most impressed with Daniel’s ability to tease her yet kept her happy at the same time!

We started out the day with the following image. :)

I love Daniel’s expression here.

I absolutely adore the following picture! They are so darn cute even when they have their fingers up their nose!

now back to something more engagement photo-ish.

Here’s another proof that it doesn’t take much for them to have fun. I think Daniel was talking about Indiana Jones or Star Wars which he was very excited about, apparently. Elsa was just laughing and smiling the entire time.

Then they got ice-cream. 3.99 for a waffle cone, not bad!

And we went on the roller coaster!

Elsa-Daniel-E-020.jpg

Originally I wanted to take my camera with me on the ride so at least I can take some shots of them while we are going up. Plus I totally thought that it would be a wimpy ride anyway. But the lady who works there stopped me from taking my camera with me - which turned out to be a great idea. The ride was so much faster and it was FUN! My butt was in the air most of the time haha. I don’t know if I could have held on to my camera.
Luckily, Daniel didn’t go on and he got the following shot of us:

LOL!

We headed out toward the beach for a few more shots.

And that concludes our awesome engagement session at Belmont Park/Mission Bay.

And one more thing - before we left, they gave us a set of 6 different types of soda to enjoy! What a nice gift! :) Thanks guys!

And June wants some too.

Elsa and Daniel - thank you so much for the great time! We will try one soda a night and I will post it on the blog and let you know what I think! :) Let’s hang out again before your wedding - maybe at Magic Mountain?

Wilson & Judy.

Wilson is a really good friend of mine.  I’ve known him since the good old college days.  Back then when I was struggling with my classes, he would claimed that he’s my TA and helped me out.  I’m really grateful that we were in many classes together.  I’m not sure if I could have graduated if he didn’t help me out haha.   He was the one who encouraged me into taking photography seriously and he got me suckered into the wonderful world of flickr.   Now that he’s finally engaged, it’s only fitting that I congratulate them with a few pictures here .  :)

So here’s Judy and Wilson.  Judy is soooo cute! It’s not hard to tell that she’s super happy when Wilson is around.

They came to visit me earlier this year, but I didn’t want to post these pictures until they are officially engaged. :)
