Andrea
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008When I was a kid, I’ve always thought that cello is the coolest string instrument. When I got into 7th grade, our school required every student to learn at least one instrument. Even though I already play the piano, I really wanted to pick up another instrument so I could try out for the school’s orchestra later on. I was seriously considering picking cello. When I told my parents about my choice, they atomically rejected it - it’s too big and it’s not at all practical (they think that piano is the most practical instrument).
Andrea - though she’s years than me, I think my 12 year old self would have seriously admired her so much. I admire her talent now even as an adult! Not only is she a talented cellist…and she’s just so cute! It was so wonderful to spend an afternoon with her at Old Poway Park.
My favorite image of the day:
I couldn’t resist from taking a couple of detail shots of her cello.
It is such a beautiful instrument!

I like this one too.
She was really playing as I took this shot…which attracted two young men to come by, sit down and listen to her. haha
Andrea, I can’t wait to attend one of your performances! Have a great year at school! ![]()
GOPINK! benefit fashion show
Monday, April 28th, 2008GOPINK! benefit fashion show is a fundraiser put together by a talented high school senior, Kassi. Her goal is to raise $30,000 toward Susan G. Komen in the annual 3-day breast cancer walk in November. Everyone who was there was so impressed by her effort! I was asked to document this lovely event and it was fun being there…despite the unusually hot weather this weekend. :)

Kassi - giving a speech in the beginning of the show.
Katie - Kassi’s little sister was also a model for the show.
You can check out the rest of the pictures on our online gallery.
Kassi - thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of this meaningful, lovely event! Best of luck to you and your GOPINK! team!
Easter Sunday
Wednesday, March 26th, 2008was extra special this year.
Our church Kairos hosted a Easter Egg hunt event for the Mira Mesa community. It was our first time putting together a big event like this so we had no idea how many families and kids would come out. It was so amazing to watch the crowd grew bigger and bigger. I think everyone had a blast. But most importantly we were able to share our love and joy with the families and kids in Mira Mesa. What a blessing!
